THE AREA
San Juan de los Terreros is a hamlet belonging to the municipality of Pulpi, in the province of Almeria. It is known for its magnificent beaches, the last in Andalusia, since it borders Aguilas to the north , the first coastal town in the Region of Murcia.
Off the coast of San Juan de los Terreros are two small volcanic islets, the islands of Terreros and Negra which form the Terreros Island-Isla Negra Natural Monument.
The most characteristic monument of the town is the Castle of San Juan de Los Terreros, built in 1764 on a promontory from which, on clear days, you can see a good part of the Almería and Murcia coastlines.
